The mission of ARK Nature is to develop new landscapes where nature is given free rein. Where streams and rivers can freely form their channels. Where herds of wild horses, cattle and red deer are allowed to roam freely. And where humans can freely enjoy nature.
Nature Landscape Heritage
De Landschappen (Nature Landscape Heritage) is a collaborative partnership of twelve private landscape conservation organisations, one from each province. Although each organisation has its own individuality, they all share a common objective: protecting nature, landscapes, and cultural heritage in each province of the Netherlands.
Natuurmonumenten (Nature Conservation) is a society for preservation of ‘nature monuments’ in the Netherlands. It is an independent organisation that buys, manages and protects natural areas to preserve nature, landscapes and cultural heritage for present and future generations.
National Forest Service
Staatsbosbeheer, the Dutch National Forest Service, is dedicated to a sustainable environment for humans, plants and animals. Staatsbosbeheer seeks to stimulate a sustainable relationship between man and nature by allowing natural areas to serve multiple functions and by viewing humans as part of nature.
Birdlife International, the Netherlands
Vogelbescherming Nederland, the Netherlands office of Birdlife International, is dedicated to the conservation of wild birds and their habitats, in the Netherlands and throughout the world. Together with people who consider the protection of birds and nature important. This way, Vogelbescherming Nederland contributes to nature conservation and a sustainable and livable world.
Wadden Sea Society
The Waddenvereniging (Wadden Sea Society) is an environmental organisation promoting the protection and sustainable use of the Wadden Sea area, in the interest of present and future generations.
WWF Netherlands wants to contribute to a future in which humans live in harmony with nature; in the interest of nature and in the interest of humans needing nature to survive.
